Biography
Oliver Midson is a Melbourne based actor, musician, and award winning filmmaker. His passion for acting began when he signed up for after school acting classes at the tender age of seven, and since then went on to work in local musical theatre productions, multiple short films and even landing a role in the ABC/Comedy Central miniseries “Ronny Chieng International Student.” When he was just 18, he submitted his short puppet comedy “Barry.” to the VCE Short Film Festival, Odyssey, which screens every year in Geelong, and took out the grand prize of Best Short. While in high school he met Dia Taylor, and formed a friendship that would go on to be one of extensive collaboration and craftsmanship, culminating in several short films and working together on his feature film debut, “Jett”. Outside of acting, Oliver is also the drummer and lyricist for Melbourne heavy metal band “In Vanity”.
